MBA of NY Awards Real Estate Scholarships

The Mortgage Bankers Association of New York Scholarship Foundation has awarded five scholarships for the fall 2020 semester. This year marks the foundation’s third year of awarding scholarships to students pursuing a real estate degree at a New York-based school.

“Doubling the number of applicants in each year over the past three years speaks to the increased visibility and impact our team has had in working with emerging industry leaders and young professionals,” said Richard Carr, a commercial real estate finance veteran who serves as the foundation’s chairman. “I’m extremely proud that the students earning scholarships this year represent the diversity of our industry.”

The 2020 MBA of NY Scholarship Foundation Recipients are:

• Jinyu (Michelle) Chen – Baruch College; May 2021
• Jasmine Gurreri – Fordham University; May 2021
• Matthew Hiller – New York University; May 2021
• Daanish Lalani, Columbia University; August 2021
• Paris Sithi, Baruch College; May 2021
