Mortgage Bankers of New York Renews Scholarship Foundation

The Mortgage Bankers of New York (MBA of NY) has re-established its Scholarship Foundation supporting graduate and undergraduate students majoring in Real Estate in NYC schools.

“Supporting the education of professionals in our industry goes to the core of our organizational identity and (is) an essential next step in the evolution of the MBA of NY,” said Richard Carr, a real estate capital markets veteran, who will serve as chairman of the Foundation.

Inactive since the financial crisis, the Scholarship will again provide tuition assistance at local universities such as Fordham, Baruch, New York University and Columbia University, starting with the September 2018 semester. Applicants will be required to complete a qualifying essay, and show evidence of financial need.
