Mazars Opts for 90K SF with George Comfort & Sons

George Comfort & Sons finalized a new 16-year lease with Mazars USA LLP to build new offices at 135 W. 50th St., its 925,000-square-foot Midtown tower. The 90,000-square-foot space will serve as the audit, tax, consulting, accounting and advisory services firm’s U.S. headquarters.

Working with architecture and design firm Gensler, George Comfort is repositioning 135 W. 50th Street to reinvigorate the tower for today’s urban environment. “When Mazars USA learned about our plans for 135 W. 50th St., particularly the amenity center and its extensive offerings, they were eager to recommit to the tower and we are pleased to extend our relationship with the firm,” said company president and CEO Peter S. Duncan.

Duncan represented George Comfort in-house, along with Matt Coudert, Andrew Conrad and Alexander Bermingham. JLL’s Deborah vanderHeyden and Paul Ferraro advised Mazars USA.
