Maxwell Technologies Has Layoffs

Our latest unfortunate news has to do with layoffs again.

Maxwell Technologies, a maker of ultra capacitors, is reducing its workforce. Mostly what will be cut is industrial employment in San Diego and Peoria, Ariz. Maxwell’s net loss was nearly $9.4 million in its most recent quarter. Revenue came in at $37.8 million.

Maxwell has been hurt by shortened sales is China, where it sells most of its wares.
