Mavrek Acquires Gold Coast Retail Building in Chicago

Mavrek has acquired 12-16 W. Maple Avenue, a 20,000-square-foot, four-story building located in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast, immediately adjacent to the Triangle.

Mavrek plans to renovate the building and reposition it as a modern, flexible space designed to attract premier retail and office tenants. The property offers 75 feet of frontage along Maple Street, and the building is currently occupied in part by CorePower Yoga on the fourth floor.

12-16 W. Maple is surrounded by Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse and Oak Street’s designer boutiques, including Hermès, Dior, and Chanel. Mavrek has engaged Mid-America Real Estate Group’s Paul Bryant and Brendan Reedy to lead leasing efforts.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Mavrek on the repositioning of this exceptional Gold Coast asset,” said Paul Bryant, Principal at Mid-America. Brendan Reedy, Principal, added, “12-16 W. Maple provides a rare opportunity for brands to secure space in Chicago’s most coveted retail corridor.”
