Maverick Closes on Mortgage for Lafayette Tower

Maverick Commercial Mortgage closed on a $6,127,000 first mortgage loan with Centier Bank for the Chase Center Office Building at 201 Main St. in Lafayette, IN. The borrower has owned the 128,574-square-foot office building and parking garage since 2000.

Proceeds from the first mortgage were limited to 75% of value. They paid off existing debt, and paid for significant capital improvements to the 50-year-old property.

These improvements will include new elevators and extensive HVAC modernization, all of which will significantly lower the building’s energy consumption and improve the tenant’s daily experience.
