Maureen Waters Joins MetaProp as Partner

PropTech venture capital firm MetaProp has added Maureen Waters as partner. Waters joins the firm after spending the past three-and-a-half years as president of Ten-X, following senior executive roles at Bill Gates Investments and Cushman & Wakefield.

“Our firm is the connective tissue between the real estate industry and tomorrow’s innovations,” said MetaProp cofounder Aaron Block. “Maureen Waters’ vast experience on the frontlines of both technology and real estate will only strengthen the multitude of ways in which we support our growing ecosystem of startups and investors.”

Prior to MetaProp, Waters led the strategic transformation of the private equity-backed Ten-X business. Before being promoted to president, she served as the firm’s chief commercial and chief marketing & strategy officer.

Previously, Waters was head of real estate and asset management at Bill Gates Investments. She also spent 15 years at Cushman & Wakefield in roles that included chief strategy officer.
