Matthews Real Estate Investment Services has completed a 1031 exchange of a multifamily community into two industrial properties, all located in Nashville, TN.

Matthews Real Estate Investment Services Facilitates 1031 Exchange of Nashville Industrials

Nashville, TN-based Matthews Real Estate Investment Services has completed a 1031 exchange of Nashville Edge Apartments into two industrial properties located at 4027 Murfreesboro Pike, Antioch, TN and 2818 Whites Creek Pike, Nashville, TN.

The industrial properties were purchased for combined total of $7 million; the Nashville Edge Apartments were sold in late 2022.

Austin Tomaiko and Austin Graham of commercial real estate investment services and technology firm Matthews Real Estate Investment Services represented the buyer while Jay Reeves and Harrison Auerbach represented both sellers of the upleg assets.

The buyer, a Nashville private individual, wanted to capitalize on the market and exchange into an income-producing asset that increased cash flow and required less management than a multifamily.
