Matthews Hires Ben Snyder to Spearhead Midwest Growth

Matthews Real Estate Investment Services has hired Ben Snyder (pictured) as SVP and senior director of the firm’s shopping center business. He’ll focus on the Midwest, as Los Angeles-based Matthews opens a new office in Cleveland next month.

Snyder most recently served as VP of transactions with DDR Corp., where he led the execution of over $2 billion in real estate deals over the past four years. “Over the last few years, I have watched the company grow, and recognize this is a great opportunity,” he said.

Joining Snyder at Matthews will be a DDR colleague, Zachary Bates, who will serve as associate VP in the shopping center business. CEO Kyle Matthews, a Cleveland native, said he “cannot overstate how excited I am to plant a very large flag in this market, which we anticipate being the hub for much of our Midwest activity.”
