Matthews Expands Footprint into Phoenix

Matthews Real Estate Investment Services opened a new office in Old Town Scottsdale to grow the firm’s presence in the Southwest. The office has 11 new hires, includes both operations and agents, and is the firm’s 11th office.

Located at 4110 N Scottsdale Rd., it will serve as the firm’s national platform operations center. Matthews COO Duerk Brewer will oversee the office, while industry veterans Steve Lowe and Simon Assaf relocated to Scottsdale from Chicago and Costa Mesa respectively. They will lead sales teams focused on net lease retail, shopping centers, apartments, industrial, healthcare, leasing, and 1031 Exchanges.

Brewer says the new Scottsdale office “provides us with access to a rich talent pool as we continue to hire employees to support our agents across the country. Additionally, while we have already completed over 100 transactions in Arizona, having boots on the ground here on the sales side will help us accelerate the business in the local and regional market.”
