Matthews Closes $14M Sale of The Journalist Apartment in NJ
Matthews Real Estate Investment Services completed the $13.7-million sale of The Journalist, a vacant 38-unit apartment building in Jersey City, NJ. Located at 96-100 Tuers Ave, the 2023-built property was sold to a buyer seeking new construction assets in the state. David Ferber at Matthews represented both parties.
The buyer plans to update amenities to attract tenants, as the building was vacant at closing. “Our team currently has over $100M and 600+ units in new listing and deals under contract – all through Hudson County,” Ferber said. “We are seeing plenty of capital coming into the Hudson County market for the right deal.”
