Mattel Opens 1M-SF PA Distribution Center

Mattel, Inc. opened a new distribution center at Gateway Logistics Park, a master-planned industrial park in Jonestown, PA. Ryder System, Inc. will operate and staff the more than one-million-square-foot integrated warehouse and transportation management operation for Mattel, including Mega Brands, and eventually Fisher-Price.

Mattel’s Philippe Lambotte says, “This facility is centrally located to our customers in the region, allowing us to serve them more rapidly and efficiently.”

The 1.5-million-square-foot two building, Class A facility is located at the junction of the two primary distribution corridors servicing the Northeastern U.S. The facility features 36-foot clear heights, nearly 15,000 square feet of office space, dedicated automobile and distribution ingress/egress points and up to 450 secured off-building trailer storage stalls.
