Mathis Sleep Center Ready to Open in Amarillo

Mathis Sleep Center, which sells mattresses from showrooms in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and California, is ready to open up shop in Amarillo. Specifically, the retailer is scheduled to open a 12,000 square foot showroom on Aug. 22 at 7500 W. Interstate 40.

The Oklahoma-headquartered company selected the Amarillo site because of ease of access and visibility. The new store is next to Denver Mattress Co. Mathis sleep center has invested more than $3 million in getting its new shop ready.
The company had been studying Amarillo for several years, and liked the fact that there was plenty of room for competition. Mathis’ Kerry Trammel indicated that there weren’t a lot of options for mattress-shopping customers who were looking for good deals.
