Mata Construction Completes Wedbush Headquarters in Pasadena

Mata Construction Services, Inc., a Los Angeles–based general contractor, has completed construction of a new 20,000-square-foot headquarters workplace for Wedbush at the Pasarroyo office campus in Pasadena’s South Lake district. Designed by global architecture and design firm HLW, the two-floor tenant improvement integrates executive leadership space, active trading operations and hospitality-driven collaboration environments.

Located at 225 South Lake Ave. in Pasadena, the full-scale buildout includes a large executive boardroom, multiple meeting and huddle rooms, a dedicated podcast studio, an active traders’ area, private offices, restrooms, and a hospitality-oriented breakroom and reception space designed with open lounge seating for employees and clients.

“Partnering with Wedbush and HLW allowed us to do what we do best, honoring the integrity of the original design vision while delivering a highly functional workplace tailored to the needs of a modern financial services firm,” said Nick Mata, founder & president of Mata Construction. “This assignment is the latest of a growing number of projects that demonstrate that the return-to-office momentum continues here in Los Angeles. Companies are investing in new upgraded work environments, revitalized assets and customer-focused spaces.”
