Master-Planned Project Gets Underway in Salado

Novak Commercial Construction has begun phase one of the Sanctuary, a 300-acre mixed-use master planned community located in Salado, near FM 2268 and IH 35.

Once complete, this Central Texas community will include single-family homes, attached brownstones, a wide array of amenities, multifamily rental units, commercial retail, office, hotel and an entertainment complex. JLL’s Garrett Gilleland is supervising commercial leasing.

Phase one consists of 185 residential lots and almost four miles of surface streets, for a total area of just under 66.25 acres. Phase one construction is scheduled for a 40-week duration.

“We are very grateful to Dr. Billie Hanks Jr., president of the Sanctuary Development Company, for allowing us to be a part of this amazing project,” says Geoffrey West, senior project manager for Novak Commercial Construction. “Salado has been waiting for this for quite some time, and we are excited construction is now underway.”
