MassMutual Breaks Ground on $240M Office Building in Seaport District

Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. has broken ground on the company’s new $240-million office building in Boston’s Seaport district. Located at 10 Fan Pier Blvd., the 17-story, 310,000-square-foot property will house approximately 1,000 MassMutual employees. MassMutual has also announced plans to add 1,500 jobs to its Springfield headquarters by the end of 2021.

The company’s Boston location, which was announced last year and is expected to open in 2021, will serve as a hub for digital and technology initiatives, as well as offer MassMutual greater access to the financial markets and diverse workforce in Boston.

The Elkus Manfredi Architects-designed project is being developed by The Fallon Company, and will feature tiered terrace levels as well as views of Boston’s harbor.
