Massive Warner Center MXU Development Proposed

Redevelopment of Warner Center’s 550,000-square-foot Promenade Mall into a mixed-use project called Westfield Promenade 2035 is in the works. Plans filed with the City of L.A. include nearly 630,000 square feet of office space, 244,000 square feet of retail space, two hotels with 572 rooms, a 320,000-square-foot entertainment and sports center, as well as more than 1,400 residential units.

Westfield proposed developing the 36-acre retail site in Woodland Hills, CA. The company also owns an attached AMC movie theater and a former Macy’s building. Last year, Westfield hinted at a “unique opportunity” for future growth.

The MXU would align with the city’s goal of transforming Warner Center into a more urban live-work community. Westfield is an active player in that effort, having recently invested $850 million to renovate Westfield Topanga, and open the open-air Village at Westfield Topanga.
