MassDevelopment Funds 22 Properties for $2M 

MassDevelopment has awarded $2.23 million in grants to support the rehabilitation of 22 properties in Gateway Cities across Massachusetts.  

These grants are part of MassDevelopment’s Transformative Development Initiative (TDI) Equity Investment program, which focuses on commercial corridor revitalization goals. The grants will support diverse projects in Attleboro, Fall River, Holyoke, Lawrence, Lynn, New Bedford, Pittsfield, Springfield & Taunton.

Projects including the modernization of a nail salon, the expansion of a café, the opening of a new restaurant, the renovation of a waterfront property, the creation of a food hall, the development of a commercial kitchen, the conversion of a former theater into an incubator for food-based businesses, and more. The grants were funded by the Barr Foundation and will contribute to the ongoing transformation of these Gateway Cities.
