Maserati Steers U.S. HQ to Detroit
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) plans to relocate the U.S. HQ of Maserati to the now shuttered Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, MI. The move from Englewood Cliffs, N.J. is expected to transpire later this year.
The relocation to the three-story, 55,000-square-foot building is expected to save FCA money, as well as reduce travel time and expenses for executives. FCA is seeking to expand its North American dealer network for both Maserati and Alfa Romeo, in order to increase sales of its two remaining high-end brands.
The museum is located on the grounds of FCA’s headquarters, roughly 25 miles north of Detroit. Maserati will share operations with FCA’s Alfa Romeo brand. Maserati North America Inc. is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of FCA.
