Maryland Awards Low-Income Housing Tax Credits to Two Development Projects
Enterprise Community Development announced that two of its projects have been awarded 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) through the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development’s 2025 competitive funding round.
The selected projects—Rideout Heath in Columbia, Howard County, and Silver Spring United Methodist Church in Silver Spring, Montgomery County—were among a small group of developments statewide to receive these awards. Together, they will deliver nearly 300 energy-efficient and accessible homes.
The Silver Spring United Methodist Church project will transform the historic church campus into a 135-unit affordable, mixed-use community. In Howard County, Rideout Heath will replace an aging 83-unit property in Columbia’s Harper’s Choice Village with a 160-unit, mixed-income community.
Both developments are being led by Enterprise Community Development, with Harkins Builders as the general contractor. Moseley Architects is the architect for Rideout Heath, and Wiencek + Associates is the architect for Silver Spring United Methodist Church. Enterprise Residential will oversee management at both communities.
