Mary Kay Launches $125M Manufacturing Plant
Construction is underway on a new plant for cosmetics company Mary Kay. The project, called “Regal Row Relocation,” consists of a 470,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, situated on 26.2 acres in Lewisville, TX. Construction on the development at 2613 Denton Tap Rd. is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2018.
Mary Kay, headquartered in Addison, TX, received incentives to build in Lewisville, including a 90% tax abatement. In return, Lewisville expects Mary Kay to spend $44.2 million on land and construction, and $30.8 million in business personal property.
Once complete, the plant will house the company’s 700 manufacturing workers and 100 corporate employees.
