MARS Properties Breaks Ground on High Point West

MARS Properties LLC of Dayton, OH, is beginning to build High Point West, an 89,440-square-foot speculative industrial distribution center in Katy, TX. The facility at 1039 Schlipf Rd., is scheduled for completion in spring 2019.

CBRE’s Houston office will handle marketing for the property in the Houston metro’s far west suburb. The building will feature 32-foot clear height, heavy power capabilities and access to controlled courts.

Demand for Class A industrial space throughout Houston is high, with vacancy area-wide standing at 5.1%, according to CBRE Research. Construction, also at an all-time high, is meeting demand; close to 50% of new product in the northwest submarket is pre-leased.
