Market-Rate Apartments Up for Sale in Morris Park

Cushman & Wakefield is marketing for sale 1955 and 1957 Lurting Ave., an 8,500-square-foot multifamily site in the Bronx’s Morris Park neighborhood. The firm’s Jonathan Squires and Robert Shapiro will market the property on behalf of the property’s seller.

“The free-market status of 1955 and 1957 Lurting makes these buildings attractive opportunities in today’s uncertain rent regulated market,” said Squires. “Market-rate housing has become increasingly desirable, making this asset a valuable opportunity for prospective buyers.”

1955 and 1957 Lurting consists of two five-unit brick apartment buildings with a total of 10 residential units. All apartments are completely occupied and consist of six one-bedroom apartments and four two-bedroom apartments.

The buildings are within walking distance to Morris Park Subway Station, serviced by the 5 train. The Bronx Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Jacobi Medical Center are in close proximity.
