Mark Holman Joins Avatar as a Director in Dallas

Seattle-based Avatar Financial Group, which specializes in commercial hard money bridge loans, recently added Mark Holman to the company’s expanding team. He will serve as a director based in Dallas. Holman’s responsibilities will be primarily focused on the underwriting, evaluation, analysis and due diligence processes associated with the loan origination side of Avatar’s business.

“Mark is expected to expand Avatar’s presence within the major capital markets,” says Jerry Zevenbergen, Avatar Financial Group’s CEO and co-founder. “That effort is consistent with his more than 20 years of experience in asset management, construction lending, underwriting, due diligence, negotiating, pricing and other associated areas.”

Holman brings decades of experience managing portfolios and complex loan structures ranging from $150 million to $5.5 billion. Holman worked for Goldman Sachs for more than two decades, rising to vice president of acquisitions. At Trimont Realty Advisors, he served as the director of loan asset management where he was responsible for a $650 million client-owned bridge loan portfolio of CRE assets.

“His nearly 27 years of experience working at Goldman Sachs handling large transactions combines well with his abundance of industry knowledge and deep relationships,” Zevenbergen adds.
