Mark Goldberg Takes Over as CEO of Griffin Capital Securities

El Segundo, CA-based Griffin Capital Company named Mark M. Goldberg CEO of Griffin Capital Securities (GCS), Griffin Capital’s captive broker-dealer and distributor. He will also serve as EVP of Griffin Capital.

Goldberg, who brings more than 30 years of senior-level financial services industry experience, joins from W. P. Carey Inc. For the last nine years, he served as managing director of W. P. Carey Inc., chairman of Carey Financial, president of W. P. Carey Investment Management, as well as held senior executive positions in Carey’s REIT and business development company product offerings and their respective advisors.

Goldberg’s new responsibilities include executing the strategic direction and agenda of GCS’s equity sales programs, driving penetration through its distribution channels, enhancing national accounts presence, marketing integration, events coordination, and operational processes. Goldberg will also join the senior executive team to further develop the strategic vision and policies of Griffin Capital.
