Mark Besharaty Joins Walker & Dunlop to Lead MF Small Loans Initiative
Bethesda, MD-based Walker & Dunlop expanded its multifamily lending team with the addition of Mark Besharaty as SVP and Chief Production Officer. He joins from Hunt Mortgage Group, and will lead a new initiative focused on multifamily small loans.
Walker & Dunlop’s Don King says, “Mark has over 25 years of commercial real estate experience with a history of proven excellence in multifamily small loans, commercial mortgage operations, construction financing, and originations.”
Besharaty has originated more than $2 billion in overall commercial real estate volume over the course of his career, including $1 billion of multifamily loans. He will be based out of Walker & Dunlop’s Irvine, CA office, and his capabilities will provide the basis for the company’s expansion into the multifamily small loan space.
