Marcus Partners Increases Roles for Principals Ryan McDonough and Patrick Sousa

Boston-based real estate investment, management and development firm Marcus Partners has announced the promotion of two principals to key leadership positions at the firm. Ryan McDonough is now Co-Chief Investment Officer and Patrick Sousa is now Principal, Development and Chief of Staff.

McDonough joins Bill McAvoy in leading the company’s investing efforts and focuses on the Greater Boston market, while McAvoy concentrates on Metro Washington, D.C. and New York. Sousa adds company-wide management and strategy responsibilities to his leadership responsibilities as a Principal on Marcus Partners’ Development team.

“Ryan and Pat have both brought enormous value to the company and we are looking to them to continue to expand their contributions in these new roles,” said Paul Marcus, CEO at Marcus Partners. “Our people are ultimately our strongest asset, and nowhere is this more evident than across our 10-member, multi-generational Principal team, on which Ryan and Pat play key roles.”
