Marcus Partners Brings Largest Rooftop Solar Array in Massachusetts Online

Boston-based real estate firm Marcus Partners has announced the installation of the largest rooftop solar array within the Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target program.

Located at 192 Mansfield in Norton, the installation includes nearly 11,000 solar modules and power electric inverters which will generate 4.5 million kilowatt-hours of clean renewable energy annually.  Acquired in 2018, the solar array represents approximately 350,000 square feet of Marcus’ industrial holdings, which over the last two years has grown to more than two million square feet in Massachusetts alone. To complete the installation, Marcus worked with ECA Solar, a firm dedicated to design, installation, and operating large scale solar facilities in New England.

“Our foremost responsibility is to act in the best interest of our investors and our tenants,” said Pete Cameron, director of asset management at Marcus Partners. “Given the recent growth of our industrial portfolio, we look forward to completing additional large-scale rooftop solar installations, which will move the needle towards providing cleaner energy, lowering emissions, and reducing our carbon footprint.  It’s a terrific double-bottom line for us and the communities in which we do business.”
