Marcus & Millichap Brokers Pair of Retail Trades

Marcus & Millichap has arranged a pair of retail property sales totaling $2.2 million in Chicago’s suburbs. The larger of the two deals was for Maybrook Plaza (pictured), a 9,176-square-foot retail property located in Maywood, IL, which traded for $1,596,000.

Adrian Mendoza, Austin Weisenbeck, and Sean R. Sharko, all of Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office, exclusively marketed the property on behalf of the seller and also represented the out-of-state buyer. Maybrook Plaza is located at 605-621 W. Roosevelt Rd., and was 90% leased at the time of the sale.

Separately, Anthony Catanese and James Ziegler of the firm’s Chicago Downtown office arranged the $650,000 sale of a mixed-use property in Franklin Park, IL, representing both seller and buyer. The property at 10005 Grand Ave. contains six fully-occupied retail spaces on the first floor, while the second floor is approved for four one-bedroom/one-bathroom units.
