Marcus & Millichap Arranges Sale of Michigan Self-Storage Portfolio

Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of a 290-unit, two-property self-storage portfolio in Ludington, Michigan. The portfolio sold for $4.1 million.

“This portfolio presented a compelling opportunity to acquire two well-located self-storage assets in a strong lakeshore market with consistent demand drivers,” said Sean Delaney, senior managing director investments.

Delaney, investment specialist in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office, in association with Paul Kerber, Marcus & Millichap’s Michigan broker of record, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a Michigan-based owner, and procured the buyer, My Storage, a sponsor expanding in the Midwest and Southeast markets.

The portfolio includes Maple Leaf Self Storage at 125 S. Pere Marquette Highway and Oak Leaf Self Storage at 110 S. Jackson Road, located approximately 1.1 miles apart. The properties comprise 290 storage units and two outdoor boat and RV parking spaces totaling 57,600 rentable square feet on 4.28 acres.
