Marcus Hotels & Resorts has been tapped to manage the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel El Paso Downtown, and the soon-to-open Courtyard by Marriott El Paso Downtown/Convention Center. The two downtown properties, less than a block apart, total 351 rooms. Both are owned by El Paso residents/ developers Elma Carreto and Jim Scherr.

The DoubleTree at 600 El Paso St. has a rooftop pool, 8,500 square feet of meeting space and an on-site restaurant. Meanwhile, the Courtyard hotel, located at 610 N. Santa Fe St. and scheduled for a June 2018 opening, offers a terrace-top pool, along with meeting space.

“Both these properties are ideally located near the city’s convention and performing arts center, and Southwest University Park sports complex and event venue, and are poised to capture even greater share of the thousands of tourists and business people who travel to El Paso,” said Marcus Hotels’ Gregory Marcus.
