Mall owner Macerich is considering building a 140-tall office tower at one of its mall locations. The company is looking at Biltmore Fashion Park as the site for the proposed 330,000-square-foot, 10-story tall building. The retail and entertainment center is at one of Phoenix’s most touted intersections, 24th and Camelback. The Phoenix Business Journal reports the ground floor would have retail space and the office floor plates would be 40,000 square feet apiece. The building would rise from what is now a surface parking lot. The city will consider the proposal at an upcoming meeting.

Macerich is also exploring the possibilities of building a 13-story residential tower just to the east of its application for the office building.

During a 2022 earnings call, Macerich said it was considering developing 750,000 square feet of new Class A office collectively at Scottsdale Fashion Square mall and Biltmore Fashion Park.
