“Maker-Tech” Tenants Take Space at San Leandro Facility

Atlantic Specialty Coffee and OnePoint Patient Care signed leases at 1577-1599 Factor Ave. in San Leandro, CA, bringing the property to 100% occupancy. The 62,033-square-foot, two-story industrial building sits in a desirable area for advanced manufacturers, or “maker-tech” tenants.

Landlord Raymond and Liz Gallagher purchased the building in 2002, and recently completed upgrades to meet these user requirements. Property enhancements included a new fire alarm system, elevators, regraded parking lot, landscaping and lobby.

Atlantic Specialty Coffee was represented by CBRE, while OnePoint Patient Care was represented by Colliers. Transwestern’s Edward Del Beccaro and Michael Lind represented the landlord.

“’Maker-tech’ is a term we use to describe a growing segment of advanced manufacturing tenants,” said Del Beccaro. “When innovative technologies meet manufacturing, the result is a higher level of building requirements in traditional industrial and flex buildings.”
