Maine Arts Academy Acquires Maine Veterans’ Homes Augusta Property for $3M

The Maine Arts Academy has purchased the former location of the Maine Veterans’ Homes located at 310 Cony Road in Augusta, ME for $3.3 million.

Chris Paszyc of commercial real estate firm The Boulos Company represented Maine Veterans’ Homes, a nonprofit organization that provides care to veterans, their spouses and Gold Star parents at six homes throughout ME, while Ann Castonguay of Sprague & Curtis represented The Maine Arts Academy. The transaction was financed by Kennebec Savings Bank.

The 69,615-square-foot building is situated on 8.9 acres Capital Area Sports Complex and Viles Arboretum.

Maine Arts Academy has grown in enrollment every year it has been open, and we are excited to continue to expand programming to any high school student in the state of Maine who is interested in a free public arts education,” said Heather King, head of school at the Maine Arts Academy.

“Maine Veterans’ Homes’ is pleased that the property will continue to be utilized as a beneficial resource in the community and appreciates being part of the transition,” added Christine Henson of the Maine Veterans’ Homes organization.
