Macy’s Will Roll Out Toys”R”Us Shop-in-Shops at 400 U.S. Stores

Simultaneous with announcing a nearly 60% year-over-year increase in revenues during the second quarter, Macy’s said Thursday it would partner with WHP Global to bring Toys“R”Us shop-in-shops to more than 400 Macy’s stores nationwide. The rollout will begin 2022 and will be complemented by an online offering.

“Toys”R”Us is a globally recognized leader in children’s toys and our partnership allows Macy’s to significantly expand our footprint in that category, while creating more occasions for customers to shop with us across their lifestyles,” said Nata Dvir, chief merchandising officer at New York City-based Macy’s.

WHP CEO Yehuda Schmidman said the partnership would change the retail landscape “by combining two beloved retail brands together for consumers across the nation in a completely innovative way.”

The retailer’s Q2 results “surpassed our expectations,” said Macy’s CEO Jeff Gennette. “We successfully reengaged core customers and attracted new, younger customers with new brands and categories.”
