Macy’s Signs with Kimco for Small-Format Store in Santee

Macy’s signed a 30,000-square-foot lease for a small-format store at Santee Trolley Square, located at 9918 Mission Gorge Rd. in Santee.  The new store is scheduled to open in November.

JLL’s Brian Quinn and Bryan Cunningham secured this lease on behalf of the landlord, Kimco Realty Corporation. Dave Hagglund and Andrew Roth of CBRE represented Macy’s.

“We continue to see progressive retailers like Macy’s expand with different formats to meet the demand of today’s consumer,” said Quinn. “Macy’s was attracted to the strong tenant mix at Santee Trolley Square.”

Added Zach Blatteis, director of real estate for Kimco in San Diego, “This represents a significant victory for the center and community, as we proudly unveil this innovative concept store from an iconic American brand, tailored to the tastes and preferences of our modern-day shoppers.”
