Lynwood, JLL Set Performance Metrics for New Conv. Center Operator
The publicly owned convention center in Lynwood, Wash. – with advice and expertise from JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group – has completed the selection of a new operator, whose performance is tied to new benchmarks.
First, some facility facts: The publicly owned Lynnwood Convention Center in Snohomish County sits 15 minutes north of Seattle. The 34,000-square-foot center can host events ranging from weddings to full-blown conventions.
According to a news release:
JLL’s Global Tourism and Destination Development team, Property Management team and Retail team engaged in the oversight and planning process, which includes the selection of Oakview Group Facilities as the new operator.
The newly developed plan is a community-based, multidimensional approach to defining success for the convention center. The new measurements include environmental stewardship, commitment to local business, inclusive support for the community and more.
“JLL firmly believes that the success of a publicly owned convention center must include strong fiscal and economic performance measures,” said JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Executive Vice President Dan Fenton.
