Jack Resnick & Sons has signed three leases totaling 25,000 square feet at the company's 485 Madison Ave. in Midtown Manhattan's Plaza District

Luxury Clothier Sets Up Shop at Resnick’s 485 Madison

Jack Resnick & Sons has signed luxury clothing boutique Workshop to open a new location at 485 Madison Avenue, its 25-story office tower in Manhattan’s Plaza District. As part of a 10-year lease, Workshop will occupy 654 square feet of retail space with 13 feet of prime store frontage on Madison Avenue at 52nd Street.

Workshop is the second high-end fashion retailer to commit to 485 Madison in recent months. Swiss shoemaker Le Majordome opened its first flagship store in the U.S. in November. Both shops join two established, first-class restaurants at the property: Italian eatery Fresco by Scotto and Gregory’s Coffee.

“This transaction reinforces the enduring appeal of Madison Avenue retail in Midtown,” said Jonathan Resnick, president of Jack Resnick & Sons. “Workshop’s new boutique is an ideal complement to our retail mix at 485 Madison Ave.”

Jack Resnick & Sons was represented in-house by managing director Adam Rappaport.
