LPC Receives Approval for New Industrial Development in Marlborough
Lincoln Property Company has received approvals from the City of Marlborough, MA, for a new industrial building on Nickerson Road.
LPC acquired the 12.3-acre site for $3 million in July 2021 with the intention to bring light industrial/R&D space to the 495 West market. The site is accessible from the region’s growing number of life sciences clusters from Cambridge and Boston to Worcester, and will feature 32’ ceilings, ample structural supports for a mechanical penthouse, 60’ bay spacing and a total of 10 loading docks
“The lack of viable development sites has generated tremendous competition for modern high-bay industrial space,” said Tim Latham, LPC SVP. “We have already seen strong interested from a diverse mix of users.”
Construction is anticipated to start in the first quarter of 2022 with a tenant-ready facility available later that year.
Marlborough has received MassBio’s Platinum ranking as a BioReady Community for its commitment to biotechnology and the life sciences industry.
