Lowe and Mitsui Fudosan America Complete Mixed-Use Redevelopment in DC

Lowe and its joint venture partner, Mitsui Fudosan America, Inc. (MFA), have announced the completion of Gallery 64, a 492-unit, 12-story apartment building, marking the final phase of the 500,000-square-foot arts-focused redevelopment of the former Randall Junior High School in Southwest DC.

Located at 64 H Street SW, the project presents contemporary homes that incorporate art and culture, with notable art pieces displayed throughout the building. A public courtyard adorned with greenery connects the building to the Rubell Museum DC, providing a space where residents, visitors to the museum, and locals can gather. Gallery 64 is DC’s first privately-owned residential development to achieve LEED Platinum certification.

“Activities and programming for residents of Gallery 64, and in the public courtyard, will also focus on arts and culture with exhibits and entertainment that are engaging and informative,” said Mark Rivers, executive vice president of Lowe.
