Loop Alliance Sets 5th Season of Pop-Up Arts

Chicago Loop Alliance’s fifth annual ACTIVATE season gets underway June 7 with “EVO’s Bazaar,” the first of four pop-up arts programs that will use the Loop as their settings. It will be followed by events on July 12, August 16 and Sept. 13.

ACTIVATE aligns with CLA’s mission to create high-performing urban experiences in the Loop, said CLA president Michael Edwards. Since 2014, ACTIVATE has generated $2.3 million in estimated economic impact to Loop businesses, with nearly $1 million in 2017 alone.

More than 61,000 people have attended ACTIVATE over the course of the series. “Linger Longer” is a program of exclusive offers and promotions to drive traffic to CLA business members before and after each event.

“Chicago Loop Alliance does a lot of things, but the goal of everything we do is to ensure the Loop remains a vibrant destination and competitive place to do business,” Edwards said.
