Longtime Pizzeria in SD’s East Village Sees Changing of the Guard
Marcus & Millichap’s Totah Group finalized a lease for the space currently occupied by Basic Pizza. Located at 410 Tenth Ave. in Downtown San Diego’s East Village, the eatery has been a staple in the community for the past 18 year and will relocate to Park-12 at the end of the Padres season.
The restaurant is being taken over by new proprietors, under the guidance of Karen Berry, who will rebrand the space as Far Corner, which has signed a new 10-year lease. The new pizzeria will retain the core menu of Basic Pizza while potentially expanding the menu.
The Totah Group’s Ross Sanchez and Nick Totah arranged the transaction. “It’s a privilege to be a part of this transition that not only serves the interests of our client but also elevates the East Village dining landscape,” said Sanchez.
