Long Beach MF Opens on Ocean Blvd.

Ensemble Investments completed development of 442 Residences in downtown Long Beach. The amenity-rich, seven-story, 94-unit multifamily community is located at 442 West Ocean Blvd., directly across from the new $520-million Long Beach Civic Center.

442 Residences shares a 1.95-acre campus with 444 West Ocean, a 15-story, 188,000-square-foot office building and 10,000 square feet of retail space including the Aroma di Roma Café. The project was designed by Studio T-SQ2.

Studio T-SQ2’s Henry Tong, AIA, says, “442 Residences was designed to complete the 444 W. Ocean Blvd. campus and complement the adjacent office building, which was built in the late 1960s. By bringing together retail, commercial, and residential elements, the entire campus functions as an integrated urban design concept that reinforces a sense of community, and harmonizes the existing physical, historical, and cultural context on a human scale.”
