Long Awaited, 460K-SF Frost Tower Completed
Developers KDC and Weston Urban announced that construction has been completed for the long-awaited Frost Tower in downtown San Antonio. Construction launched on the 460,000-square-foot, 23-story building in March, 2017. The Class AA office tower, at 111 W. Houston, is the first to be built in the CBD in 30 years.
The tower is Cullen/Frost Bankers Inc.’s corporate headquarters; the company leased approximately 60% of the property, totaling to 280,000 square feet, on floors one to 16. The bank will use the space for its 650 employees.
The space includes Cypress Lounge, a conference center, and Frost Loft, an interactive, open-to-the-public exhibit showcasing the history of Frost and San Antonio. The tower, designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli, also includes a 400,000-square-foot wraparound parking facility at its base, 20,000 square feet of ground floor retail and 10,000 square feet of tenant amenity space, including a fitness center.
