Lone Star College Processing New Process Technology Center

Lone Star College Kingwood, in the northeast Houston metro region, will have an Oct. 4 groundbreaking on its new Process Technology Center. The 40,200-square-foot facility will be situated on 8.3 acres at 14001 Lockwood Rd., in the 4,000-acre Generation Park.

The college used funds from a $485 million bond package passed in November 2014 to purchase six acres. The additional acreage was donated by Generation Park developer McCord Development.

Once operational, the facility will train students for entry-level careers as process technologists and operators.
