Logos Faith Will Deploy Modular Construction on South LA Project

Logos Faith Development, a Los Angeles-based, mission-driven real estate development firm specializing in transforming underutilized church land into community-centered affordable housing, plans to build multiple projects using modular housing units from Model/Z Modular.

Modular housing units promise to deliver housing faster, more cost-effectively, and with less waste than traditional “stick-built” construction. The first project that LOGOS plans to use the modular units on is a 91-unit, five-story affordable apartment community at 105th Street and Central Avenue in South Los Angeles. Site work is scheduled to begin in 2026, with first residents projected to move in later in the year.

Pastor Martin Porter, founder and CEO of Logos, said, “We are excited to be using modular units on LOGOS’ 105th and Central project and look forward to leveraging the high quality, price certainty and high efficiency that modular units offer for new construction projects. LOGOS brings an approach that is anchored on utilizing underused church land. We are finding many faith-based organizations are looking for ways to supplement their finances, be good stewards of their resources, and expand their heavenly mission into housing.”
