Logistics Property Co. Launches Chicago’s First Multi-Story Warehouse Project

Logistics Property Company, LLC held a ceremonial groundbreaking for 1237 W. Division, the first multi-story warehouse in Chicago. The ceremony included key speakers LPC EVP Aaron Martell, Walsh Construction president Sean Walsh, Riteway-Huggins Construction founder Larry Huggins, LPC CEO Jim Martell and Ald. Walter Burnett, Jr.

The development includes 1.2 million square feet of space across two floors and offers both rooftop parking and an adjacent five-story parking garage. The 11.5-acre property sits immediately adjacent to the full four-way interchange at Division and Elston in Chicago’s Near North Goose Island neighborhood.

General contractors are Walsh Construction and Riteway-Huggins Construction. JLL’s Michael Conway, Dan McGillicuddy and Sam Brashler will handle lease-up.

“As a company headquartered in Chicago, we’re extremely grateful to be bringing this project to the region,” said Aaron Martell. “We’re appreciative of everyone at [city government] and our pre-development partners who made this project a reality.”
