Local Surgeon Buys 90-Room Comfort Suites Alamo/River Walk

Sanjay Misra, a San Antonio orthopedic surgeon, acquired the 90-key Comfort Suites Alamo/River Walk. Sherry Chaudhry and Mohammad Chaudhry sold the five-story property at 505 Live Oak St. The seller developed the property, situated on downtown San Antonio’s eastern edge, more than 10 years ago. James Cotter with Caisson Real Estate brokered the transaction.

The seller, which had owned other hotels in Texas (including a large resort property in Galveston), sold its last hospitality property. Sherry Chaudhry told the San Antonio Business Journal that the sale was made because of her husband’s desire to retire.

The hotel’s amenities include a fitness center, electric vehicle charging station, meeting space and outdoor automobile and bus parking.
