Pyramid Plaza Lubbock Gets New Local Owners

Local Owners Group Saves Lubbock’s Pyramid Plaza

The Pyramid Plaza had lost a lot of its luster of late, and a group of local investors wanted to bring the local icon back to its former self. “Pyramid Plaza has been a Lubbock landmark since the early 1980’s and has recently experienced a period of higher-than-normal vacancies driven by the owners who were not willing to invest in the property,” said David Long MD, part of the new owners group.

That’s going to change. The new owners of the 116,000 square foot property have plans to modernize and update the office building over the next few months. Elevator improvements, exterior lighting, revamped office suites and updated finishes are top on their list.

Long expects to regain some tenants, who might be sentimental, “We want to build on the positive memories that people have of the building and reposition it so it’s one of the most desirable buildings for companies to select for their next office.”
