Local Firm Planning Rehab of 40K SF

Ridgemont Properties, headquartered in San Antonio, wants to rehabilitate a vacant building at 900 Broadway into office space for start-ups. The company submitted plans to the city of San Antonio for renovation of the two-story, 39,600-square-foot building. The project is currently under review by the Historic Design and Review Commission (HDRC).

The building delivered in the mid-1920s as an auto dealership, and also served as a sporting goods store and antique store during its existence. Ridgemont acquired the 0.31 property in September 2017 for an undisclosed price. Plans for the $1.5-million-rehab include creating a new entrance on the north side, and repaving the parking lot.

Ridgemont’s C. Trebes Sasser Jr. told the San Antonio Express-News that the office space will complement the apartment complexes going north on and around Broadway. Construction work is expected to launch on Dec. 1, 2017, with renovation completed by the middle of 2018.
